Making sure you've done it all.  Have you;

  1. Filled in the application form (if required) with the necessary information and signed it?
  2. Thoroughly read the position description and noted what the key competencies are?
  3. Written your CV including your latest information and addressing the key competencies?
  4. Written a covering letter
  5. Contacted referees to ensure they are happy to be contacted
  6. Attached copies of relevant qualifications and references
  7. Posted it so it will arrive before the deadline?
